COLLABORATIVE CONSUMPITON: THE SHARING ECONOMY
Last Week, sf.citi kicked off the collaborative consumption working group, partnering with the tech sector and the City. Thanks SPUR, Shareable, and TechCentralSF for sponsoring this event!
Mayor Lee, Leah Busque of TaskRabbit, Jessica Scorpio of Getaround, Molly Tuner of AirBnB, Jamie Wong of Vayable, CIO Jay Nath, and moderator Neal Gorenflo of Shareable discussed the emergence of the new collaborative economy in which access trumps ownership, and individuals are empowered to turn underutilized assets into capital and connection to community. The Panel explored social, economic, and environmental impacts of how peer-to-peer markets change how we live in cities.
SFMTA HISTORIC CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION!
Last Thursday, sf.citi members came out as honored guests to support the SFMTA!

MUNI unveiled its first restored 1912 streetcar and inaugurated its first ride on the F line.
APR 12: MAYOR'S SUMMER JOBS + CORPORATE CHALLENGE @ CITY HALL
As part of sf.citi's commitment to training San Francisco youth for the job's of the future, sf.citi is proud to partner with Mayor Ed Lee's SF Summer Jobs + Corporate Challenge summit. At the summit, Mayor Lee will urge SF business leaders to pledge jobs or sponsor summer internships!
Please join Mayor Edwin M. Lee, Congresswoman Nancy Pelosi, SF business leaders, and United Way of the Bay Area in making a summer commitment to the youth of San Francisco! Our goal is to partner with San Francisco businesses and organizations to create more than 2,500 jobs and paid internships this summer in San Francisco.

As part of sf.citi's push for summer job training and placement, we are calling on all of our members to take on internships through SummerQAmp, a nationwide initiative to train American youth in high-tech skills. sf.citi members Getable, MamaSource, Tiny Speck, and Work4Labs among others already committed, with more like Airbnb, Airtime, and Revision3 coming in at any moment!
SF SUMMER JOBS+ CODE SPRINT! WORKING WITH THE WHITE HOUSE
Today we are announcing the first ever San Francisco Summer Jobs+ Code Sprint. This is a call to developers in San Francisco to use the White House and Department of Labor Summer Jobs+ API to build job search apps for browsers, social networking platforms, smart phones and feature phones. The API opens access to thousands of summer internships, training and mentorships opportunities for disconnected and low-income youth. Ready to code?.

Next time you're walking or driving through SF lamenting over discarded trash, dirty sidewalks, or flooded corridors just take out your phone and tweet! The City is communicating with San Franciscans in real-time for collaborative cleanliness and concerns for public safety. If you see trash, potholes, plugged drains, or broken water mains just TWEET 311 your request, they'll clean up and tweet you back when the problem is fixed!
