7th Women & Girls Leadership Summit:  Join Us Thursday May 31
sf.citi and Silicon Valley Leadership Group to co-host inspirational Women & Girls Leadership Summit @ Metro Arts & Technology High School in the Bayview/Hunters Point Neighborhood. Our purpose is to empower young girls from our underserved city schools, expose them to private & public sector women role models, and energize these students about their education. Speakers include Supervisor Malia Cohen, City Administrator Naomi Kelly, SFFD Chief Joanne Hayes-White, AT&T Executive Loretta Walker, and Amgen Executive Dineli Wickramasinghe.  

7th Women & Girls Leadership

Tech sector speakers include Heather Champ, Director of Community @ Flickr, VP of Community & Content @ Pinwheel, Co-Founder @ 8020 Media and 2bkco; Hadiyah Mujhid, Co-Founder @ Black Founders Startup Venture, Co-Founder @ Picture.ly, entrepreneur, software engineer; and Yan Heim, CEO and Founder of Froomz, Co-Founder/GM Beijing Mitec Electronic Technology Inc.

With more than 100 young women attending, we encourage women employees from our SF tech community to invest a half-day (8:30am to 1pm) to inspire these young women to succeed in school and future careers, and to lead fulfilling & productive, healthy lives.

SF Code Sprint+ Virtual Hackathon: Competition Already In Motion!
The competition has started! Inspired by White House Code Sprint, a call to SF developers to use White House and Dept. of Labor Summer Jobs+ API to build job search apps for browsers, social network platforms, smart / feature phones.
